Reporting Day 4

Exactly in the middle of the training course, so the group dynamics are at a good level, is taking form and is getting stronger, people feel more connected ready to listen deeply to themselves and to the others and this because of the activities facilitated the previous days by the amazing trainers Ilze and Kasia.
The day has started as usual with breakfast, so everybody has the opportunity to eat, drink coffee or tea and chat together. In a habitual way, the teams started doing their responsibilities such as cleaning, gardening, and writing reports. After that, lots of dancing to wake up our bodies and get prepared for the group’s new habit, the reconnection circle, a moment when participants have the chance to share freely whatever they want and also sing a different song every day with a powerful meaning. Marcus, as always, joins us with his guitar and sings with us the strongly emotional “Blowin' In The Wind” of Bob Dylan.

…and how many years must a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
And how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind…

The weather is pleasant so the activities start outside and then move inside because it starts getting a little bit hotter. Our facilitators have prepared an interesting activity about NVC, which means Non-Violent Communication. In order to connect, empathy and honesty are needed, that is the main message of NVC. Then we go deeper into the sector of communication and in groups, we play a taboo game with needs and feelings.

The lunch was prepared by the team of our heart that is taking care of us during the project, Micha, Klara, and Julian. Between the delicious food, there is a gift for our Italian friends, Caprese salad. Later in the afternoon, a reward is given to the group after the amazing job that they have done till that moment. A free afternoon at the Danube! Most of the people chose to take a nice walk to reach the beach by the river (side) and few took bikes to discover more and design a new route on their google map. People swim, use Esther’s paddle for some physical activity, chill by the river, play games, sunbathe, and relax.

Later on, people go back to the venue where they find Mariusz and Pawel fortunately alive after more than forty kilometers of cycling up and down Strengberg and not only. The self-care and regulation time arrives as it does every day before dinner. Then all together have dinner and gather by the bonfire to sing and play games. Wolves, villagers, witches, cupid, lovers, Michael Jackson, and of course Dylan as a master appear in the calm countryside and rule the night…Will the whole group woke up the next morning? Check Day5 of our blog to find it out!
